How do I know if my baby is teething?
Babies are born with 20 teeth and they may come in at different times.
Babies commonly appear in the mouth around nine months of age, but it can start as early as three months or as late as 1 year old.
It can be uncomfortable for your little one, and can make them upset and bad tempered. They may also have flushed cheeks, a slight fever or red and swollen gums.
Are teething gels safe for babies?
Teething gels can be safe for your baby if they don’t have lidocaine in it. While teething gels can provide short-term relief for your baby, it’s important to make sure that the product is safe for babies and use the product as directed on the packaging.
How can I calm my baby down whose teething?
It’s important to keep your baby comfortable while their teeth are coming through their gums. However, this can be a challenge, especially if they’re unhappy!
We’ve found some suggestions, including giving them something firm to suck on as a distraction, gently rubbing your baby’s gums with your cool hands or giving your baby a cooled teething ring or dummy.
