Blooms The Chemist Returns Policy
Our returns policy is in addition to the statutory consumer guarantees you are entitled to under the Competition and Consumer Act and similar laws.
We want you to be happy with your purchase and offer the following returns options to make your shopping experience easier.
Faulty items
Blooms The Chemist will accept returns and provide you with a refund at the purchase price or exchange where an item is faulty, is not of acceptable quality, does not match the description provided or is not fit for purpose and does not comply any consumer guarantees.
A valid proof of purchase (usually a register receipt or online tax invoice) is required to be provided to receive the refund or exchange.
Change of mind
If you change your mind about an item, Blooms The Chemist will provide you with a refund at the purchase price or exchange within 30 days of your purchase, if Blooms the Chemist is satisfied that:
- A valid proof of purchase (usually a register receipt or online tax invoice) is provided;
- The item and packaging is in its original condition including all manuals and accessories;
- The product is in a re-saleable condition
- The product has not been used or damaged; and
- The product is not one which a change of mind is not provided for
Please note Blooms The Chemist reserves the right not to offer an exchange or refund where the item fault is a result of misuse or neglect. Blooms The Chemist reserves the right to assess the condition and age of returned items prior to providing a refund or exchange. This may result in a refund or exchange being refused.
For hygiene reasons, we are unable to provide a refund or return for change of mind on CPAP Machines, Masks and Accessories, Independent Living items and Incontinence products if the packaging has been opened.
Refund on Prescription, Pharmacist or Pharmacy Only Medicine
We can not offer a refund on prescription items, pharmacist or pharmacy only medicine once posted or removed from the pharmacy unless there was an error with dispensing or if the product was damaged or during delivery. If you have any further questions, please contact the pharmacy you purchased your item from. If you can no longer or are unable to use your prescription item, please return to the pharmacy for destruction. No refunds will be given for unused prescription items returned to the pharmacy for destruction.
CPAP Machines, Masks and Accessories returns
Due to the nature of these products, we are unable to provide a refund or return for change of mind on CPAP Machines, Masks and Accessories if the packaging has been opened.
If the product is faulty we will accept product returns with an exchange or refund.
Blooms The Chemist reserves the right not to offer a refund or exchange where the item fault is a result of misuse or neglect.
Returning an item purchased in store
To return an item purchased in a Blooms The Chemist store, please take the item back to any Blooms The Chemist store or call a store to make arrangements for the return. If you need to contact a store you can find contact information here.
Items purchased online
Delivery orders
Returns for faulty items will include refund of the original shipping fee for refund requests only. Exchanges will be posted free of charge.
The original shipping fee will not be refunded for change of mind returns. Exchanges will be posted free of charge.
Shipping fees for returning items purchased online will be charged for all returns. If the return is for a faulty item we will refund your return shipping fee.
Online orders that have been dispatched cannot be cancelled.
Refunds will be issued using your original payment method.

Returning an item purchased online
Delivery orders
To return an item purchased online, visit our Returns Portal to complete an online returns form and receive shipping labels for your return. Print off the shipping label and affix to the Blooms The Chemist packaging or similar packaging to that which you received your order in. Please ensure packaging is suitably protective to prevent damage during transit. If you don’t have a printer, your local post office can print the label for you.
Shipping fees will be charged for returns in our returns portal. If you are making a return for a faulty item we will refund your return shipping fee.
Click & Collect orders
Visit your Click & Collect store and speak to the team who will be able to assist you with your return.

Damage during shipping for an online order
If your ordered item(s) are damaged upon delivery please return the damaged items via our Returns Portal so that we can organise for the item(s) to be replaced or refunded.
Returning out of date medicine
If you have any unwanted or out of date medicines including prescription medicine, over the counter medicine, herbal or complementary supplement, gels, liquids or topical creams you are able to bring them to any Blooms The Chemist Store for safe disposal.
