The hard plastic on the base of this orthotic seems to provide good arch support. The firm, but spongy, arch and the gel heel are also holding up well. I wear these at work in a walking shoe designed to accommodate orthotics. It's only been a few weeks so far, but they are supportive and comfortable, so I will probably buy these again when they eventually need replacing.
