Emla is a topical anaesthetic that numbs the skin before certain procedures.
Emla Skin Numbing Patches can be used prior to insertion of IV catheters, blood sampling, vaccinations, superficial surgical procedures, including split skin grafting.

Directions for Use
Infants 0 up to 3 months: up to 1 patch
Infants 3 up to 12 months: up to 2 patches
Children 1 up to 12 years: up to 5 patches
Emla Patch must be applied at least one hour before the start of the procedure. Do not exceed the maximum recommended dose. See pack insert for instructions.
Warnings
Always read and follow the directions for use
If skin irritation occurs, stop use immediately and seek medical attention. For external use only, not to be taken. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Do not apply near eyes or on broken skin.
