How does Benzac work?
Benzac has two powerful ingredients, benzoyl peroxide (BPO) and acrylates copolymer (AC), to fight acne at a bacterial level. Benzac products kill off the acne-causing bacteria that multiply when there’s an oversupply of oil in your skin and work to absorb the excess oil in your skin.
Is Benzac good for acne?
It’s important to note that all medicines have unwanted side effects, so if you do experience side effects from using this brand, it’s important to visit your doctor and explain what you’ve been using.
However, the active ingredient in Benzac, which is benzoyl peroxide, can be effective for treating inflammatory acne.
How long does Benzac take to work?
Due to the active ingredient in Benzac, benzoyl peroxide, your skin will have an adjustment period which may cause some skin irritation, dryness and redness.
It’s important to be patient during this time period as you may need to use these products every other day or switch to a lower concentration of the active ingredient.
It may take 8 to 12 weeks before you see results in your skin.
